Jesus is called the “Messiah” or “Christ” meaning the “Anointed One” in Matthew 1:16. The Old Testament prophecies the Messiah, and the New Testament reveals the Messiah to be Jesus of Nazareth. Today we looked at the prophecies that show how Jesus is the son of God, had the Spirit without limit, was anointed to set the captives free, is seated at the right hand of God and is our perfect High Priest!
