Palm Sunday is a celebration of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem as the King of Kings. Yet, it also foreshadows his journey to the cross. The crowd shouted "Hosanna!" but would soon cry "Crucify Him!" And even though the people misunderstood his mission, God’s plan for salvation was unfolding. Jesus came not to conquer by force but to save through sacrificial love. Jesus is the King we need, even when we don’t recognize it.

May all of us have the courage we need to stand in faith. May we have the strength to “stay the course” even when it’s unpopular or even ridiculed. Despite the pressures to conform to the culture and compromise his beliefs, Daniel and his companions courageously choose obedience to God, setting an example for us in remaining steadfast in our faith amidst the pressure and temptation to conform.
